back to normal

July 6, 2010

There was a week, not long ago, when a young girl got her mommy all to herself.

While her brother was away at camp, this young lady aspired to be a tennis champ:

She became a philanthropist:

“Don’t fry bacon in the nude!”

Accepted ‘tips’ for charity (raised $11 for Haiti – if only her mommy knew where to send it).

She became an accomplished musician:

and watched chic-flicks with her mommy:

With a grand finale of seeing this before her brother came home and “ruined her weekend!”

all the while her mommy cried for the days when they were small and played house and talked with their toys – but lovingly watches them grow into such funny kids.

It was an awesome week StinkerBell!

Now – back to regular programming.

    1. Looks like a super-fun week.

    2. I know where to send it!! Email me at A local church congregation here has adopted a community in Haiti. Just a week ago they had a huge bazaar to raise money for necessities and to help rebuild the school. All of the goods were donated, so 100% of the money goes to help the Haitians. Also, one of the cool things they did was sell soccer balls for $10 each which were then sent to the children in Haiti. (I’m pretty sure the soccer balls were also donated, so it was a double donation.) I also bought a bracelet made by one of the members of this community in Haiti which was awesome. I could put you in contact with the woman in charge of the bazaar and she could help your daughter decide whether to just donate the money, or purchase something like a ball or bracelet, or the Hope for Haiti cookbook (which was $12). Let me know if you are interested. I would be happy to pay the shipping for the cookbook or bracelet if you went that route.

    (PS I’m a dailymile friend.)
