Valentine tradition

February 15, 2010

We started this tradition a long time ago – dinner by candle-light and ‘wine’ with our meal.

I don’t remember why it was started. I only imagine it was a way to entertain the kids while we have a drink with dinner.  Now, it is THE event of our year.  Okay – maybe not that big.

Soon after Christmas both kids start asking what we are having and begin making note of foods (or pictures of food) they would like to have on Valentine’s night.  We skip most other activities in lieu of this.  I’m glad we do.

For dessert we had this:

perfect combo of sweet and sour.

Fitting with the theme ~ we agreed on the romantic movie to watch:

Run on Friends!

We just started this tradition this year for Valentine’s Day! We had such a great time with our kids, ages 20 and 16, and their boyfriends/girlfriends .I think we are noew commited for the rest of our lives to this new Valentine’s Day tradition. We did do one healthy thing on Valentine’s Day, we did a virtual 10k with a bunch of people on another blogspot. It was a blast maybe you can join us for our next run!!
